CAREER IN HOMEOPATHY
 Introduction

Homeopathy is a system of medicine, which was discovered and developed by a German physician, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann.  The term "Homeopathy" can be broken into two parts in order to understand it's simplest meaning - 'homoios' in Greek means similar and 'pathos' means suffering. So, in simple terms homeopathy is the study of similar sufferings seen in individuals and it is that system of medicine that is based on the principle of 'Like cures Like'. Which means that a substance that can cause certain symptoms in a healthy person can cure similar symptoms in an unhealthy person. Homeopathy aims to aid and stimulate the body's own defense and immune processes.
Homeopathy has healing powers of medicine and is a scientific and human therapeutic method, which is as much as open to science and technical progress as well as deals with symptoms and sufferings of person as a whole following the most friendly -
 "Individualistic Approach", and includes the following which is done by a Homeopathic doctor known as a Homeopath. 

Eligibility 
Basically there are two types of courses available in Homeopathy. Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery (BHMS) of 4 ½ Years + 1 year Internship and Diploma in Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery (DHMS) of 4 years duration, including 1-year of Internship. A candidate having 10+2 Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English can pursue bachelor course i.e. Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery. One can also undertake Diploma course. The MD program in Homeopathy is of three years duration which can only be pursued after completing BHMS course and also qualifying the all India entrance examination
